1) What are your views on the following image after reading 'The Waste Land'? Do you think that Eliot is regressive as compared to Nietzche's views? or Has Eliot achieved universality of thought by recalling mytho-historical answer to the contemporary malaise?
Ans:- "The waste land" is based so many myths and historical facts and T.S. Eliot believe in god, religion thought and etc etc.. he use so many myth in this poem. Some time his thoughts are older means he used Upnishada, Budhhism and Christianity for get solution of the contemporary problems. There is no doubt that all universal human laws are true. In this poem we can see clearly eloit use historical facts and myths wonderfully and he used all myth and historical fact as his weapon to prove his point so According to me Nietzsche and T. S. Eliot both have different point of view. One believe in God and other one believe in himself, Nietzsche is very progressive and forward looking man and he doesn't believe in God. Nietzsche prefers in 'self assurance'. While Eliot is quite different from Nietzsche, he is very regressive and has own point of view, he believes in god.
2) What are your views regarding these comments? Is it true that giving free vent to the repressed 'primitive instinct' lead us to happy and satisfied life? or do you agree with Eliot's view that 'salvation of man lies in the preservation of the cultural tradition'?
Ans :- I'm not agree with T.S. Eliot. Eliot and Sigmund Freud both are very different from each other. Eliot believe In god and Sigmund doesn't believe in god. May be this is the main reason they both are different from each other. Sigmund said that you don't have to repressed your wishes because it's harmful you in primitive instincts. Give freedom to all and freedom give happiness and self confidence.
3) Write about allusions to the Indian thoughts in 'The Waste Land'. (Where, How and Why are the Indian thoughts referred?)
Ans:- in this poem we can find out so many Indian thoughs.
1) River Ganga and Himalaya :-

1) River Ganga and Himalaya :-
"Ganga was sunken, and the limp leaves
Waited for rain, while the black clouds
Gathered far distant, over Himavant."
Waited for rain, while the black clouds
Gathered far distant, over Himavant."
River Ganga is known for its purity and also for purification. While Himalaya is known for spirituality and peace.
2) Three Da :-
1) Datta - give sacrifice and help other people.
2) Dayadhvam -sympathies and empathies with others.
3) Damyata - self control.
