Movie Review "Lagaan"

          15th, August 2018. on the occasion of The Independence Day in the Department Of English. we have a film screening of "Lagaan"(Tax) Ashutosh Gowariker , produced by Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan. we all know that coin have a two different sides so here we watched this film to understand another side of film.

         

 "Victoria Empress"

          Beginning of the film we see the gold coin of "Victoria Empress" and film start with sound of flute and then one strong voice told about villager, about rural Indian, about Britisher and about king.

Rural India :-                                                         

                       The directer Ashutosh Gowariker tried to show the real India. we see the problems of villagers and situation, in this film we see the different lifestyle of Indian peoples and British peoples. the villagers give a"Lagaan" to Britishers.

Patriotism :- 

                     I think patriotism is a main theme of this film. in this film we finds patriotism in the main character of the film "Bhuvan". captain Russell challenge to bhuvan to play a cricket with them so bhuvan accepted the challenge of captain Russell it shows the courage of bhuvan. he accepted the challenge because he just wanted to make villager free from "Lagaan".

Power Of Religion :-

                     First scene of the film we see the temple it shows that  the villager of Champaner belives

in God. villager in problem they pray to God. in this film we see that Elizabeth says the reality about lakha to villagers so lakha gone to the temple and closed the door of the temple it is shows the Power Of Religion. 

Team Work And Leadership :-

                  

                     Captain Russell challenge to play a cricket match with them if bhuvan and his team won the match they free from the "Laggan" next three years so bhuvan accepted the challenge. now bhuvan need a strong team to play a match against captain Russell so first he start playing or practice with Tipu then bhuvan make a strong team. here we see that hold the whole team with the skill of Leadership. he motivate to his player to learn the game and play like captain Russell in  the end bhuvan team win against Britishers. 

Kachra : The Match changer  :-

                      I think kachra is a match changer in this match. in this film one special character Kachra bhuva n see the ability of kachra so he decided to take in his team but other players not accepted kachra in their team because kachra belongs to lower cast and people called them "Achhut".

                   

                      In the match everyone try take wicket but everyone failed to take a wicket at that time bhuvan called Kachra and givea ball to his hand now we see the magic of kachra he takes a three wickets back to back I mean "Har Trick" at last everyone accepted kachra. So I think Kachra is a Match Changer.
