"Sairandhri" by Vinod Joshi
'Sairandhri' :-
who is Sairandhari?
The poem is based on the character of Draupadi from Mahabharata. Sairandhri is a name of Draupadi & Very few people know this name because normally people known as Draupadi, panchali, Yagnsani, Krushna.
In this poem we find out two themes :-
1. Lost of identity
2. Woman identity
poet connect the lost identity with us.we all have two identity one is good & second one is bad means positive & negative sides, here poet not talk about two side but here poet talk about hide our real identity to other people & ourselves. we always hide something to others, here hide our identity means lost our real identity.
poet also say that when she was in her real identity means as a Drapadi at that time Lord Krishna, Bhim & many others came to help but when she lost her original identity & live as a sairandhri at that time no one came to help her. in real life we see many woman lost her original identity & she live her whole life under her husband, father, & father in laws,
